Constant cramping

Hello,
I'm 5w2d and I've been having constant cramping for the past 3 days. I keep expecting to see blood every time I go to the loo.
Has this happened anyone else and does it go away?
I've a reassurance scan this week due to my last pregnancy being ectopic.

Does the anxiety of early pregnancy ever go away??

Thank you xx

Hiya.

I had this. My cramps were so bad I was in the feral position on the floor with deep heat patches on my tummy and back. It went away after about 7-8 weeks but I thought I'd see blood every time I went for a wee.

I'm 36 weeks now with a little girl.

If you get any other symptoms, bleeding, shoulder pain etc make sure you call 111 and ask for advice. But I had the cramps too. And it freaked me out because no one tells you about them!!

The anxiety doesn't go away. You usually set goal posts. 12 week scan, 20 week scan, 37 weeks, due date. These babies are so precious, and then we have their whole lives to worry too!! 😂

Wishing you the best of luck and a uneventful pregnancy. Any questions please do ask 🥰

@happygolucky6 thank you so much for your reply!
Congratulations on your pregnancy! Not long to go now!
I'm very worried about it being another ectopic as I only have one tube left (had to have the other one surgically removed) but I'm having a lot of symptoms like nausea/tiredness etc which I didn't have with my ectopic - I'm hopeful it's in the right place, I've just never experienced the cramps before!
Fingers crossed they pass and everything goes smoothly!
Thank you for the reassurance xx 😊

Thank you! I know I can't wait to meet her now!

Yeah the cramps do suck and I didn't realise they were a thing and actually rang 111 myself thinking it was going wrong. But apparently it's your womb etc stretching... horrible!! I was working at the time with heat patches, hot water bottle, paracetamol. Sometimes they can go past 8 weeks I've been told but luckily mine didn't!

My colleague said think of them as a good sign, your body is preparing to keep the baby nice and safe. Xxx
