So ladies.
You don’t need to say anything!! I know how stupid this will sound 🙈
My son is 14 weeks this Wednesday and this morning I woke up so nauseous I was very nearly sick a few times (I’m never sick) it passed by mid morning, I then went to the toilet and wiped what looked like an implant bleed, nothing since.
I’m EBF apart from a couple of weeks ago where I subbed a few feeds for a couple of days.
Anyone else ever been in this position. Is it normal to spot during breastfeeding?
I can’t get out to get a test today so sat on the sofa feeding my newborn worrying slightly 🤦‍♀️
Xxx

I love the last text you sent! It sounds as though you won’t be disappointed if you are pregnant so I don’t think there’s anything irresponsible about this. Good luck!

Burpalot · 23/06/2020 13:37

That's a positive test ya eejit!

Chichz · 23/06/2020 13:40

Definitely agree that's positive!

Am excited to hear more OP. I really wouldn't engage with that particular poster... it's starting to sound like the AIBU board and I don't remember you asking for votes Grin.

I'm also genuinely curious about how anyone can afford 6 babies?!

X

Myhooversucks · 23/06/2020 13:42

Borntohula I’m not judging people who have abortions. But in my opinion it’s irresponsible to constantly be careless and use abortion as an option over and over. Maybe some people feel abortion is fine as a form on contraception.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion and if anyone thinks I’m irresponsible I understand to a degree.
And After all I did post on MN 😁

My friend has 2 kids 13 months apart, she was also breast feeding. It worked out fine for her in the end, she was glad to get the baby/toddler stage over quickly and her kids to have a sibling close in age for company.

zaffa · 23/06/2020 13:46

Gosh OP some people are so very aggressive here towards you.
Congrats if it's positive (which I think it is!) and I hope you enjoy baby number five!

AintOverUntilTheCatLadySings · 23/06/2020 13:55

I'm just impressed that you're managing to have sex with five kids - one being a tiny baby Grin

mylittlesandwich · 23/06/2020 14:16

I often think it would be nice to have two close in age, then I remember how hard I sucked at being pregnant and think, maybe not. I'm excited for you OP I think big families are lovely. Ignore the meanies and let us know how it turns out for you.

LBB2020 · 23/06/2020 15:17

@AintOverUntilTheCatLadySings I was thinking the same Grin

Smallsteps88 · 23/06/2020 15:24

But in my opinion it’s irresponsible to constantly be careless and use abortion as an option over and over.

TBF it’s no more or less irresponsible to constantly be careless whether you choose to keep the pregnancy or end it. Its the same. It’s just two different, equally valid, decisions about the consequences of the carelessness. Just because you chose to keep the consequences of your carelessness doesn’t make you better than someone who chose a different best option for their circumstances. Choosing not to have a baby is not irresponsible.

Maybe some people feel abortion is fine as a form on contraception.

Smallsteps88 · 23/06/2020 15:25

Sorry the “maybe some people feel” shouldn’t have been included at the end of that post. I didn’t realise I’d C&Pd it.

mylittlesandwich · 23/06/2020 15:39

@Smallsteps88 I disagree. Being lax about contraception knowing you can support another child is very different from being lax about contraception when you know you can't.

Smallsteps88 · 23/06/2020 15:53

Being lax about contraception knowing you can support another child is very different from being lax about contraception when you know you can't.

Not when you have the option of abortion.

AintOverUntilTheCatLadySings · 23/06/2020 15:56

@lbb2020 and they're drinking beers together too! OP has it together far more than I do - and I've only got one kid! Have a feeling she's going to be fine!

bluemoon2468 · 23/06/2020 16:06

That's definitely a positive test! My first positive was way fainter than that and I'm now 25 weeks along! Evap lines are much fainter and greyer.

grace1991 · 23/06/2020 17:30

Please let us know the outcome !!!

avoandeggs · 23/06/2020 17:48

That's definitely a positive test op!

Glad you're happy and your youngest will have a little playmate close in age.

Sunsage · 23/06/2020 18:26

Op I have been following this since you posted but I just wanted to come on and say you have a great attitude about it all!

I think if it is a positive (which I really do think it is) it'll be lovely for the 2 youngest children to be so close in age and was a little blessing in that way!!

Scotinportugal · 23/06/2020 18:48

I love the title of this post op!
I have a friend who is 6 months pg also under the impression the pull out method is more reliable than it actually is 😃
I'm no pro, but I think that also looks like a positive - I took about 6 that looked like that!
If you're happy about another baby then that's fab sounds like you have a lovely big family and baby will be so loved! Laughing at the negative serious Susan's 🤣
Good luck xxx

MrsJaneyp · 23/06/2020 21:35

I can't get over how many nasty posts there are on here
Op was merely asking a question and asking for help as any of us are entitled to.
It is disappointing that we can't express different opinions nicely and support one another rather than trying to tear each other apart.

NEMSparkle · 23/06/2020 21:50

Honestly why do people have to be so awful, there really is no need.
Sitting on the sofa looking at a newborn worrying about being pregnant is a feeling I remember well! 12month accidental age gap here too, we survived definitely miss sleep and I'm not sure my DH is over the text I sent him and its 5years down the line! 😬🤦🏼‍♀️

YoyoRiot · 23/06/2020 22:47

Congratulations op!

Chl00 · 23/06/2020 23:28

From what I’ve read I’d say you’re probably pregnant because women are at their most fertile after giving birth (breastfeeding hasn’t been proven to reduce risk of conceiving) but I have heard that those tests aren’t the best so definitely take another using a different brand because a evap line probably wouldn’t show that quickly x

Natmat1 · 24/06/2020 06:23

I am also appalled by such awful comments some posters left here and on some other MN posts. Not sure what would posses anyone to be so unpleasant to someone seeking advice. We can only hope that they are never faced with a predicament of any sort.
And surely the most important thing is not how and when the baby got here, but that when it arrives it has a loving home? Both for the baby and our society.
