Early scan wrong dates ! Worrying !!!

Hi guys. Need some reassurance:(
Went for a early scan and should of been 7w6d from my LMP. Sonographer was very worried said no heartbeat. Did an internal scan and still no heartbeat. She showed me the sac and the embryo which measured 4mm. Said I was around 5w6d.

Thats 2 weeks off what I should of been ??!!!
She never mentioned a fetal pole either !
I'm getting rescanned next week but I'm freaking out.
Does anyone have any stories of early scans ?!!

@molsxox I'm so sorry you're going through this and I know the waiting is so hard but there's really nothing you can do until your next scan.
I've replied on a couple of your other threads that I was measuring 11 days behind at my first scan but there was a heartbeat and I knew I'd ovulated later.
How long is it till your rescan?

Its this weekend coming.
I know when i ovulated though and it was 11 days after my lmp. So I couldn't of ovulated late !

Is it a bad thing that there was no fetal pole but a embyro ?

Try not to worry for now. Early scans and dating is very hit and miss. Not only is it ovulation date, but time to implantation which can vary but up to a week.

Was the early scan for any concerns?

No it was just for reassurance cos I had a MMC 3 years ago and I'm convinced its going to happen again 😭

When did you get your BFP? Does it fit with baby measuring smaller than expected? Are you 100% sure when you ovulated?

I have actually joined Mumsnet just to reply to this post. Please try not to worry just yet. I had an early scan was told my dates had to be totally wrong ( when I knew 100% correct) no heartbeat measuring too small for dates. Had to go back in a week....

one week later everything ok heartbeat there and size inline with my dates.
This little blip on a screen turned 16 years old last week! Don’t give up xxxx

@molsxox if you are sure of your dates, then I would prepare for the worst; it’s unlikely that a scan would be a whole 2 weeks out, especially as it was an internal scan. I had early scans at 5 weeks, 6 weeks and 9 weeks and the sonographer said that early scans are pretty accurate as the foetus has to develop in certain stages, although there are some women who have experienced different. Sorry you’re going through this, when I was a while ago I just wanted honest answers

I had a faint positive 13th may but it didnt become strong line till 20th May when my period was due and didn't arrive.

Knew I ovulated 3rd may.
Thankyou for ypur positive story ! Im really pleased it worked out for you this is what I'm hoping for myself next weekend. Im a stress head anyway but this is awful!
