Feeling bloated - what to do?

I'm 10 weeks pregnant and the only way to stop feeling queasy is to chew gum - with the unfortunate and painful side effect of wind/feeling bloated! I actually at this moment in time look about 6 months pregnant.

Does anyone know if it is safe to take Jaaps or similar to relieve symptoms?

What on earth are Jaaps and can you have them roasted (please see veggie thread re cannibalism)?

Wierd coincidence tigerfeet. As well as sharing half a nickname we share the same penchant for chewing gum to ward of pregnancy sickness. I chewed gum all the time when I was last pregnant three years ago and drunk lots of fizzy drinks so you can imagine how bloated I looked!

All I can say is that once the morning sickness stage passed (about 16 weeks) I stopped chewing gum and felt less bloated. On balance I preferred feeling bloated rather than feeling sick anyway.

Hope the sickness stage passes soon for you.
