Missed miscarriage

I went for a early scan and I measured 2 weeks less then what I was suppose to be. The sonographer was very apologetic and basically prepared me that this could be a missed miscarriage.
I'm still getting sickness/ fatigue/ mild cramps and back ache and im getting positive on pregnancy tests.
Could these all still be happening with a missed miscarriage?
Any help appreciated !

Hi molsxox, firstly I'm really sorry to hear that. I don't have experience of an mmc, but I did have a failed abortion a few years ago. I passed the fetus, but not much else. With the tissue etc still there I still had strong pregnancy symptoms and tests were still positive 3 weeks after.

I've had a missed miscarriage and because your hormone levels are still high you will experience symptoms, is it possible your dates could hust be out?

Sorry to hear you’re going through this.

This might not be what you want to hear but I had a scan yesterday that confirmed mmc and I was still having pregnancy symptoms. In fact everything had grown since the previous scan (which had been not measuring to my dates).

I had to wait two weeks between scans to find out for sure if it was wrong dates or non viable. I didn’t get the warning you got, I was just told we couldn’t know until the next scan.

Hope you get answers soon and that it might be better news.

I'm so sorry op. I had a missed miscarriage last year and my symptoms didn't go until after I'd had my surgical management, which was three weeks after discovering the baby had stopped growing. Your HCG levels don't not reduce either as your placenta still produces a hormone. It took three weeks to get a negative test after my surgery.

Firstly I'm sorry you may be going through this.
I had a missed miscarriage at 12 week scan and still symptoms/bump until I had the surgery.
I also had positive tests for 9 weeks after the surgery as I retained hcg.
What is your next steps?
How many weeks do you think you are compared to what the scan says?
Sending love to you 💓

My doctor booked me in for an early scan and I really wish she hadn't! I had a private scan for when I thought I'd be 8 weeks....then the hospital called and asked me to go for scan as requested by the doc. They saw a heartbeat but said my dates were out by two weeks. I could tell the sonographer thought something was wrong and she booked me in for two weeks later. I was really worried - although I couldn't be sure if my ovulation date I only DTD once so I knew my dates couldn't be out by as much as two weeks!

About a week later I had my private scan and although I was measuring a week and three days smaller at that point, the foetus had grown the 'right amount' in that week....a week later I had my repeat scan at the hospital and was a week behind. So slowly catching up!

I'm 27+4 now and never fully caught up! I'm still a week behind where I thought I was but baby is kicking away. I have a growth scan on Monday so will be interesting to see where I am then.

I'm sorry you are going through this. I understand how horrid it is. I think it's best to be prepared for bad news if I'm honest.
