Placenta previa nearing elcs date

Any ladies in this situation, or anyone want to share how the last weeks of their pregnancy went?

I'm 36w with my elcs booked for 39w. I had a light bleed at 33w which led to a 2 night hospital stay and live in fear of a heavier one happening. I had consultant appointment today and kinda hoped my date would be brought forward but no, another 3 weeks to go!

Did you do anything differently to avoid bleed etc? I have an 18m old so only so much resting I can get away with!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I got to the 39 weeks appointment and all went fine. I was jittery for those last weeks but no bleeds and lots of rest. She’s currently sitting here doing her homework!

I am 36 weeks and haven’t bled, which surprises me as was told 90% do, I feel constantly on edge waiting for it to happen.
My section is booked for 37+5 mine in anterior previa which apparently is riskier x

I had placenta previa in my last pregnancy. I had a bleed at 30 weeks with an overnight stay but was absolutely fine for the rest of my pregnancy. I never rested as I had 2 small boys to look after who were 2 and half and 18 months at the time! I was at Center Parcs the week before my section (which was brought forward but only because at 36+5 I was diagnosed with vasa previa). So no real tips really!
Good luck!

Thanks for sharing 😊

@Mummyspider27 not long to go! I was hoping for 37+5 but they're sticking with 39.

I feel I had less movement yesterday, but also had a firmer bump. Was back to lots of kicks by bed time.

I also had a weird brown/black thick discharge so debating whether I need to go unit today. My fear is red blood, but that glob was weird!!

I would definitely let them know about that ‘glob’!! Xx
