Baby 1/5 engaged at 32 weeks

Hi!

Had a midwife appointment today and was told baby is 1/5 engaged, I was surprised as I didn’t think they engaged til later on!

He is measuring big so not sure if this is why.

Has anyone else had the same? Was your baby early? Or does it have no relevance to when they will arrive?

Is tk is your first baby? If so first babies can engage quite early but to be fully engaged you'd get a 5/5 engaged reading, 1/5 only means they're head is low down. It's good progress though xx

Mine engaged early, was measuring big and I convinced myself my baby would come early...
42 weeks later my waters broke.

Mine bobbed in and out from that sort of time, and was 11 days late!! X

Mine engaged really early. From 32 weeks we were expecting it to arrive any day (Baby was big, I had GD and polyhydranimos and my DH was born at 30 weeks so we were cautious anyway). I ended up being induced at 38 weeks although I was 2cm dilated when I went in for induction.

Yep, mine was engaged 3/5 at 32 weeks and she arrived at 40+5 :)

Mine wasn’t engaged at all at 36 weeks and came a week later 🤷‍♀️

Mine wasn’t engaged at my 36 week midwife appointment and arrived the next day!
