Hi Ladies,
This is my first time posting here. I'm looking for ideas how to support children and school remotely while working from home as a pregnant teaching assistant at a primary school, please and Thank you :)

google classroom checking in on messages - or manning class email box for anyone needing support

Are the children you’re looking to support in school or are they still home learning.

I found I had plenty to do as a TA when my class were learning at home (although some of that involved delivering things to families which might not work if shielding) but I don’t think there’s much I could do for them from home now that they are back at school.

When we were all home though I had online courses to do, research for resources like worksheets and appropriate videos, phone calls & emails to families, plus lots of conversation with the teacher to support her with the switches to online learning and then back again. I was limited by not having a school laptop to use at home, but if your school will provide you with one then there might be more you could do.

Hi OP. This might be better in the Primary Education board rather than pregnancy.

I’m a teacher working from home and there isn’t a lot my TA can do for me. Our SLT are directed them though.
