Period returning after MMC

Hi all,
I had a missed miscarriage at the end of May, I thought I was around 10 weeks with twins but the private scan showed the babies only measured 8 weeks with no heartbeats, i was booked to go to the EPU 3 days after the private scan however I miscarried them naturally the day after the scan (31st May).
Does anyone know what the usual time is for periods to return? Will it take longer because there were two babies? My periods were really regular before hand - every 28 days, not too painful, I'm just wondering what to expect as I'm really nervous everything will change, and just want to start trying again

I had a MCC in December a few years ago, I think my period came back quite late, maybe a month and a half - 2 months, however I was pregnant again the following may.

Sorry for your loss. 4-8 weeks is typical, wouldn’t worry even up til 12. Probably wouldn’t be longer just because of twins, your body just needs time to readjust either way. I’d suggest a pregnancy test any time from now if your bleeding has stopped, then if negative that’s reassurance that the hcg is out of your system. You usually won’t ovulateuntil Preg test negative. If you’re wanting to try again you could go for it any time from now as long as bleeding settled - but do make sure you have that negative test first so that you know any positive test in future is a new pregnancy.
OPKs can work for tracking ovulation post miscarriage but they’re not super reliable so would use other signs too - and don’t be surprised if your body just tricks you for a cycle or two as it settles back down! Good luck.

It can vary. When I miscarried at 10 weeks (mmc) it took 6 weeks to get a negative test, 8 to ovulate and 10 for my period to arrive. The second time I mmc at 11 weeks and period returned after 5 weeks.

Sorry for your loss, I hope you're doing ok. I also had an MMC recently, I was almost 11 weeks but baby had stopped growing at around 8 weeks. I passed everything naturally on the 25th May and a scan 2 days later confirmed everything was gone and bleeding stopped after a week. So it's less than 4 weeks since it happened but I think I'm getting my period already. The doctors told me 4-6 weeks is usual but like everyone else said, I think it just varies from person to person.

I’ve just had a MMC and been told anytime from 2-6weeks.
I had surgical management on Tuesday.
