I had bleeding on 17/5/20, I was 11 Weeks pregnant.
Following the bleeding I had a scan on 19/5/20 which confirmed an empty sac.
I returned the week after & diagnosis of anembryonic pregnancy was made.
I agreed to wait 2/52 to see if miscarriage happened naturally.
I returned 2/52 later for a further scan which showed sac had reduced in size by a 1/2.
I returned last week and scan showed minimal products And HCG of 399.
I returned today and HCG is 165 , the doc stated that HCG levels should reduce by 1/2 in 2 days and it’s taken mine a week to reduce by 1/2. I was told No further input Was needed now from EGU and prescribed Abx & Advised to Retake pregnancy test in 2/52.

Has anyone else has this , I’m in my 5th week of bleeding now!

Any advice or support greatly appreciated.

Xx

Hi OP

I’m so sorry for your loss!

I was diagnosed with this exact thing but (thankfully if that’s the correct word???) it was at 6 weeks not 11! I can’t imagine how devastating that must be for you!!

I had surgical management to remove the products but you have the option of taking a tablet or just waiting for things to pass naturally! If you’re bleeding then that is possibly what your body is doing now! I only had some bleeding once for one day and no more...

I just want to tell you that there is nothing you could have done to prevent this! The majority of times this is due to a chromosomal abnormality and it’s your body’s ways of “taking care of things”...

Xx 💕

I'm sorry OP. How do you feel now? I have just had my 8 week scan to confirm the blighted ovum. Not sure what to do, wait or opt for a surgery.
