Coffee drinkers please advise!

Hi all! I just got my BFP this morning (yay!) it was a surprise to be honest, but we are very excited. I currently have an 11mo old so this will be our 2nd child, and I’m guessing that I’m about 4-6wks along.

I’d been drinking 3-4 cups of instant coffee (also with sweetener & milk) per day. My DS is not a great sleeper, & mama needs her coffee! I’d like to cut back to 2 cups per day maximum, but would it be ok to also have 2 cups decaf?

I guess my question is how much coffee do you feel comfortable drinking during pregnancy? Thanks!

I have one filter coffee every other morning in the week these days. I have a decaf filter coffee on the alternate working days to try and trick my brain. I don't think I could do my job properly some days without that little caffeine boost.

Congratulations! Two cups of instant and one cup of decaf as you've suggested will be absolutely fine. There is no need to cut caffeine out completely as pp have suggested.

I think I cut down with my first two But never gave it up, my last pregnancy I needed it as I was working full time and had a two year old and a one year old. I had proper Starbucks coffees each day, she is 9 now with no problems that I’m aware of. To be honest I didn’t change any of my eating habits except pate.
