Sorry for joining the pregnancy board while not pregnant, but I'm just here to ask all of you lovely ladies who've had success in conceiving if there's anything you did that you think helped you successfully get pregnant?

I naively assumed since I'd never been in any hormonal contraceptives in my life (only ever condoms) that I'd have no trouble with conceiving and I had years worth of cycle tracking already in an app so know my cycles inside out and what's normal PMS symptoms. 6 months down the line from starting I'm still failing to conceive though. DTD every day during my fertile weeks and every other day the rest of the month.

Just feel like now I'm 32 I'm getting close to reaching the mid 30s where fertility will start declining more rapidly.

Any tips appreciated, and of course all the best on your pregnancies! 👶 🎉

Having previously been pregnant when on the pill Sad I was really surprised how hard is actually is to get pregnant when you decide to try for a baby. My biggest tip would be to try to chill out about it as much as you can. I’m 40; hubby and I took 5-6 months to get pregnant. It was frustrating once we decided to go for it and you can get really caught up in the two week wait and if your period arrives it can really get you down. My tip would be, try not to get disheartened. We did a few months of DTD being guided by the dates on an app. I then moved onto the Clearblue ovulation kit. Don’t forget, I think there are two months in every twelve when you aren’t fertile. I wouldn’t worry about your age. I got pregnant a lot quicker than some women I know who are quite a lot younger than me. Just try to eat well and exercise regularly. Don’t let yourself become too fixated on getting pregnant and I think you’ll find it all just comes together for you. It can just take a bit of time.

We used conceive plus lube and got pregnant on the second cycle. We'd never ttc before and we didn't track or do anything else different so it may have happened anyway but I was 36 (37 now) and it worked for us.

I struggled for a while then started to see a fertility acupuncture specialist, who also advised me & DH to take CoQ10 (Co enzyme q10)). You will find loads of studies about this & how it has been proven to help fertility. Maybe a coincidence but I was pregnant within a month. I’d also recommend starting folic acid supplements now if you haven’t already. Good luck Smile
