Induction query

Just wondering, can you request an induction? If you have good reasons for it? My midwife said that from my reasons she believes consultant could be lenient and agree to an induction, so has booked me an appointment with my consultant after my next growth scan. My next growth scan is at 38+3. I've had slightly reduced movements for about 2-3 weeks now with 'no apparent cause', been contracting since about 34 weeks, and also 3cm dilated. The underneath of the right side of my ribs constantly feels like it's burning, also no apparent cause, baby has been head right down fully engaged since 34 weeks now, I can barely walk due to the pressure. I have also began having pregnancy related heart palpitations. All of these added together is affecting my mental health, especially the fact that baby is barely moving it's keeping me awake and making me feel like crap all the time, and then the fact that I'm waddling VERY badly is giving me severe anxiety, I feel like everyone's watching me everytime I walk. (I already had pre existing mental health issues, had to stop taking all my medication when I became pregnant, mental health did become better and is now worsening again). Do you think they would agree to do an induction? I just want it over with.

I believe you can request an induction, have you checked out the NICE guideline?
I was induced, make sure you have a plan for pain relief!
