Faint line on a pregnancy test.

Hi ladies,

I did I pregnancy test this afternoon and there was a very faint pink link and I have no idea if it could be a positive result or an evaporation line.

I came on my period on the 7th June, but very unusually for me, I didn’t bleed for very long and it was lighter than usual. Anyway, I assumed I wasn’t pregnant (Ive had 4 pregnancies - 3 kids - and never had bleeding whilst pregnant), thought nothing more of it.

My husband and I are due to start trying again this week and I started to worry about my shorter, lighter period. I’m 37yo next month, so started to worry if perhaps it meant that I am becoming less fertile so I did a little googling.

I came across something that said it could mean I was pregnant, I had a pregnancy test in the house so decided to take it. I assumed that given that it would be over 2 weeks since implantation if I were pregnant, despite the fact that I was really well hydrated, the test would have a very clear line if it were positive.

When I checked the test, within the time permitted in the instructions, there was a faint line in the test window. I asked my husband to check and he agreed, but surely this long after conception, super hydrated or not, the line would be clearer?

I would post a picture of the test, the line is even clearer now, but it’s been so long after I took it I don’t think the clarity can be taken to mean anything.

Any opinions would be very welcome (I’m definitely going to rush out and get another test to take in the morning, but am working very hard to not get my hopes up and thought some input from others might help).

Thanks!

Could it have been implantation bleeding? X

Have you got a picture of the test?

Was the test past it’s expiration date? This could make the line fainter than it would usually be?
