Hungry in the evenings

Hi.. I'm roughly 6+2 and I'm so hungry of an evening it's unreal!!

I've gained 10lb before I was pregnant thanks to lockdown and over induldging lack of exercise (basically making too many cakes)

So I'm trying to eat healthier, I've been on a reasonable healthy "diet" I'm not trying to lose weight at this point, just making sure I eat well.

From 5pm onwards I'm starving, I literally want to eat anything and everything.

Anyone else the same? What healthy snacks do you eat? I'm eating plenty of fruit and veg but at the min I want bad stuff so I'm trying really hard not to give in

Not sure what you've already tried but I tried to stick to the following during my first pregnancy;

Hummus and celery/peppers/carrots sticks
Crackers and butter (not great but better than crisps, at the rate I would eat them anyway)
Cooked chicken/ham
Cereal
Trail mix
Low fat pop corn
If I think of anything else I will post again. Basically anything that takes a long time to eat.

Second pregnancy I just pigged out, chocolate, cake, crisps you name it, I ate it!!

It's pretty normal. I used to feel the same at 8th week. My food portion size had increased a lot.

Please try to include more protein in your diet. It will keep your stomach more satisfied. Also try to drink more water before meals if you are very concerned about gaining too much weight.

Boiled eggs, cheese cubes, houmous and crudités
