Hi Everyone
I have the wonderful job of now choosing a hospital and wow what a minefield. The 3 closest to me are Kingston, St Peters Chertsey and West Mid's.
Has anyone got an advice, opinions or personal experiences they can share with me to help me in my choice.
All look great and easily accessible.
Thanks and look forward to reading your replies.

Don’t know West Mids but I’ve given birth in both Kingston and St Peter’s - have to be honest they were quite a while ago though.

Kingston was super clean and private, all rooms were single en suite. Midwives were great, I had my waters broken at 11am when I arrived for high BP check, baby arrived 3 and a half hours later. Pretty much left to our own devices after that.

Third baby was born in St Peter’s. The maternity unit has been updated since I gave birth. Baby had an infection so we stayed in for 5 days. Midwives seemed a lot more rushed than Kingston (but that was probably because in Kingston I couldn’t see what was going on outside of my room). However, Grandchild also born there a few years ago and spent a few weeks in Nicu, they were superb. Couldn’t do enough for everyone.

Having spent an awful lot of time in children’s hospitals I would totally recommend to friends St Peter’s but I’m probably biased.

I gave birth in St Peters and my circumstances were really difficult. They were simply amazing. I felt very well cared for. Lots of the staff involved in my and my babies care kept popping in to check on me even if not on duty, just to say hello and see how we were. So much love I will never forget.

Can't fault Kingston.

I had my first (and having my second) at Kingston and they are brilliant. Can’t fault my antenatal or postnatal care at all.

I took my baby to paeds A&E in wMids and didn’t like it at all. I know it’s not the maternity unit but the overall feeling was very different.
