Where do you go now Mothercare has shut down?

Hi

I'm pregnant with my first baby and I feel totally clueless where to go to look at and try out baby equipment. Some things I would feel totally fine just buying off the internet (clothes etc) but for things like a pushchair I'd like to try out the folding mechanism and the weight of them.

Now Mothercare has shut, where do you go to have a bit of a browse and a look at things in person? I'm in Sheffield if it makes any difference!

I've never liked Mothercare. I went in a few times when desperate for a vest or something, but I have always used John Lewis.

I absolutely love shopping for baby clothes. When they closed I was going to John Lewis more and would have a look around ASDA George etc.. I especially liked the Mother Care themed dress up range though (like the star wars stuff), they were great fun gifts for friends. They seem to have an online presence, but hopefully they will make a UK comeback. www.sharebuyers.co.uk/shares/mothercare-asserts-its-on-track-to-be-profitable-as-completes-focus-on-core-competencies/ I miss having a wonder around their stores. My local Mother Care had some lovely staff.
