Hey all, I'm 6 days late and testing today. This may be unnecessary but I'm thinking ahead. Basically I'm a Health Carer in a nursing home. What shall I do if I get a positive? Will they expect me to go to work I'm worried sick already

It's entirely up to you when you tell work but I would be inclined to tell your boss straight away so they can do the appropriate risk assessments for you. Depending on your employer/job role this may include a change in role, extra PPE, WFH etc.

The current guidelines are that, while pregnant women should take care, there is no evidence that you or your baby are at any increased risk. Extra care/precautions should be taken after 28 weeks gestation.

Good luck.

Definitely tell your boss, if your boss is nice and they don’t particularly need you there they might let you take some time off, I’ve been furloughed until things are safe but my work aren’t busy right now so it would be up to your manager I guess
