Anyone else? I'm about 4& half weeks. And since getting my BFP 3 days ago I haven't been able to stay asleep. Waking up at 4.30 AM and tossing abs turning.
Thankfully I'm working from home but I'm frazzled.
Not sure if it's anxiety or a symptom.
Any tips??

Hi rainbow. I had this at about 4 weeks for a few nights, kept waking up at 4:30 to go to the toilet then couldn't get back to sleep. It's lasted a week for me, then came back at around 7-8wks for a few nights. I put it down to hormone changes, but sorry I didn't find anything that helped other that going to bed a little earlier to accommodate earlier rise. Hope it doesn't last long for you!

The first trimester insomnia is such a treat! 😫
Well firstly, congratulations on the pregnancy OP!
I think because we have just found out we are pregnant are minds are all over the place thinking about everything so it doesn't help the sleeping!
If you can try and do some relaxation techniques before bed, read a book, take a relaxing bath and even meditation whilst your lying in bed to calm your mind as much as you can. I haven't done this many times but when I have it's worked a treat for me, as I have the ability to zone out!
It will pass but for now, try and get a few cheeky naps in as and when you can whilst you're working from home, to stop you from becoming burnt out altogether

I’ve had it off and on for WEEKS! Now 22 weeks and still getting it 2 or 3 times a week. It’s a bastard. Sometimes I read my kindle with the light on low, other times just lay there and try to just breathe deeply, be still and relax.

Hope it passes for you soon.

@Alpacapicnic1 @lockdownpregnancy @WhatWouldPennyDo
Thank you all of you... I recall having it with my son. However I also think it's anxiety as my son died as he was premature and it's taken us almost 2 year to get to here!

I have exhausted every meditation app 😂😂
Think I may try audio books.
I've now started steroids so they could also make it worse!!!

I'll take it all as it will be worth it if we can keep this one at home forever.

Hope everyone is well 🌈

Awwwww OP how awful you lost your little
Boy 😢 that's so sad!
Fingers crossed your little munchkin is all good this time round!
I'm sure the hospital will be keeping a close eye on you given what happened before.
All the best xx
