I am 8 weeks pregnant and have been suffering terribly from morning - joke - sickness 24/7 for over 2 weeks. Just nearly threw up in the fridge and most days feel worse in the afternoon and evening. Is there anything I can take to calm things down? Not actually been sick just continual nausea which somehow seems worse. Have heard some rumours about travel sickness tablets but not sure how safe these are. Help!! ConfusedSad

@stoparguingkids sorry you're feeling so rough. That was me between 6 and 13 weeks, every time I moved I was wretching. The best thing that helped - didnt stop it completely but definitely made it bearable- were the travel wrist bands. Think they're called seabands. Just left them on day and night and it took a few days but it eased it off. Hope you feel better soon.

I was prescribed promethazine, which are travel sickness tablets, for constant nausea.

They helped a little, but also made me incredibly sleepy.

Definitely have a chat with your GP, and if one type don't work, ask to change.

For what it's worth, my nausea more or less settled by 17 weeks, but even at 20 weeks the smell from opening the fridge makes me feel sick! Even if DH does it and I'm stood over a metre away (and we clean out the fridge regularly!)
