Gestational diabetes anyone?

Today I had glucose ++ in my urine and have had a third blood test to test for gestational diabetes. The 2 previous tests came back fine, I also had a scan and the baby is now measuring in the 95 centile and is estimated to already weigh 7lb! I’m currently 36 weeks pregnant and have a c section booked for 39 weeks.

I’ve left the hospital feeling so upset. Can I get control of gestational diabetes in such a short space of time? Will the baby get even bigger? And is it okay to wait until 39 weeks to have the baby. I’m so stressed out but the midwife said not to worry until we get the results. I’m so fed up this evening 😢

It's not a biggie op, it will only last a few weeks, try to eat healthy for a while.

Thank you. Diet is pretty healthy but guess I’ll be cutting out my mid morning cake and bedtime biscuits x
