Looking at buying the owlet dual monitor. Anyone got it or have thoughts on it?

This is the one I'm interested in too, looking forward to others thoughts on it

Thought you meant for a name!!
Hmm

30not13 · 11/06/2020 21:49

Though this was a potential baby name thread for a minute there!!

I'm on a group that has a lot of co-sleeping parents and this is the one they all swear by. I'm tempted myself. I held off with #1 as my other half was saying it was unnecessary (I was looking at the angel care one then so not even as expensive) but after watching one born Australia I'm back to worrying about SIDS

I had the owlet although not the monitor as it wasn't released when I bought it. It was definitely a huge peace of mind for me. We never had any issues with it going off by mistake and husband tested the alarm for if the oxygen levels drop and it's very loud! It was one of the main things I wanted to get when I had my baby and definitely thought it's worth it. I got mine from the baby show so there was a bit of a discount too!

Oh thank god! I also thought this was a name thread 😂

thethoughtfox · 11/06/2020 22:58

Thank God. I thought this was going to be a baby name thread !

KittyKat2020 · 11/06/2020 22:58

Thanks for everyone’s replies so far definitely leaning towards getting it!

I remember reading somewhere that it’s not always reliable and some tests (just give a google) have shown missed warning signs such as low oxygen data. This can give a false sense of security, but as long as you don’t solely rely on it to tell you something’s up then I think they’re great. I’ve also heard good things about the snuza hero, but the same applies about false sense of security.

Oxygen sats*

FirstTimeBumps · 12/06/2020 10:36

@FudgeFlies - the snuza is so much cheaper as well. I'm going to have a nosey!
