Hi just woundering how and where you all got yours from as my employer keeps asking.
I have told them dont get it till 20weeks. I was just actually woundering where I would actually collect from xx

I have my 25 week appointment with my midwife next week and I'm getting mine from her. As apparently there is a portion of it that they need to fill in.
As I haven't seen my midwife since my booking in appointment I haven't been able to get one sooner

It only had to be in by week 28. You cannot get one til after week 20. More usual to get it around weeks 25-27.

I not actually spoken or seen my midwife yet. Only the ones at the hospital at 12 week scan. My community midwife booked me in too.

I didn't get mine until my 28 week midwife appointment

I got mine at the hospital antenatal clinic after my 20 week scan. While getting my whooping cough vaccination I mentioned to the midwife that I needed to get it and she said she’d fill one out for me. It took 2 minutes for her to do and she stamped it with the hospital stamp.

At my 25 week appointment, the midwife asked if I needed one (I completely forgot I did so I'm glad she reminded me)

25 week appointment from midwife. They can’t be issued before 24 weeks usually.

Brutally, they aren’t issued until baby classed as a viable baby, so if they are born early and die you are still entitled to maternity leave/benefits. Before 24 weeks they are a miscarriage and those maternity benefits don’t apply.

I know that’s hideous to think about but it’s why they are issued when they are.

If your employer persists in asking it could be viewed as harassment.
