I just had my specialist appointment about my c section and just feel a bit over whelmed with information, specifically what can go wrong. Blood transfusions, intensive care, internal balloons, cutting through the placenta etc. A lot to take in. Just so wanted to hear some people’s experiences x

I haven't got much to say because my csection experience was amazing and pretty unremarkable.
Had my baby 25/5/20 at 39 weeks and 1 day, I also had an anterior placenta. Had minimal blood loss, it was all very quick and uncomplicated in regards to the section itself :)
I was up and walking to the toilet about 5 hours after and just felt sore for a few days but could walk around and look after my baby just fine!

Sounds like my dream!! Was your placenta previa? X

Sorry I didn't notice the previa part! Mine was just anterior. I was on tinzaparin so expected a lot of blood loss though but everything was fine! I remember when talking to my consultant about it he explained they have to tell you about all the risks which sound scary, but he went through the % chances of things happening and it was really reassuring for me, did yours go through that with you? x

She wasn’t overly forthcoming with %’s just a lot of eventualities! I should have asked x

Hi how did you get on interested as
I’m the same position.

Bigbluebuttons · 27/05/2021 23:33

I had anterior placenta previa with #1 and the whole experience was really lovely. It’s still one of my happiest memories - feeling no pain, totally safe and then this beautiful little child staring at me, with a very serious little face!

@Bigbluebuttons thank you, I’m so worried the doctor was a bit annoying just kept going on about bleeding bleeding bleeding 🙁, all
I read is that they have to cut through placenta and it’s so dangerous I’ve worried myself sick! But hearing your story has made me feel better.xxx

Has anyone had an elective c section at 37 weeks? I'm struggling mentally and physically I'm very uncomfortable I think I'm having contractions on and off but midwife said braxton hicks or pgp my anxiety is very bad I'm filled with complete dread of going into labour no c section has been booked yet as I'm not seeing my consultant till 19th of May to tell them that's what I want this time I'm mentally exhausted with worrying and it's having a big impact on my mental health
