Aching kidneys 7 weeks pregnant

I've had aching kidney/back aches since yesterday, I also feel like Im really cold and have felt cold the last few days (although I know this could just be a generic pregnancy symptom). I don't have a temperature and I'm not experiencing any pain when weeing and no blood.

I'm only 7 weeks so don't have a midwife yet. I tried calling EPU for advice and they said to call GP. GP said to call in the morning for an appointment (which I know I wont get because they're appalling there and last time I tried to get an appointment I called over 200 times and still didnt get through because they don't have a call queue system).

Im not in any particular pain and I'm in favour of waiting to see if it gets better but I just wanted to find out if this is something that is actually important or just another symptom of pregnancy and/or something i can improve myself.

Might be a UTI. I felt similar so I bought some of the dip sticks on eBay and tested myself because it's hard to get an appointment here too. Then just sent a picture on the app and the doctor sent a prescription to the pharmacy

I had no pain when weeing either

@kfcplease Thats a really good idea. I hadnt thought of doing that. Did you have any more symptoms than I do?

If you can't get an appointment there are now online doctors you can use. I paid £20 for an appointment and they sent through a prescription straight away. Obviously it's better not to have to pay but if you're desperate it's good to know. Also just to add at my clinic the nurses can do UTI treatment normally same day. I have done this before COVID and recently again I dropped off a sample through the letterbox at the clinic and got a call from a nurse with the result the same day. Hope you get sorted

Definitely try to get an appointment, sounds like a UTI which needs to be treated promptly with antibiotics!
