Hello mamas,
I am currently at my 12 weeks. While wiping,I noticed brown colour mixed in the regular white discharge (sorry if I sound gross). It's very scanty and there was no red blood anywhere. I don't have any pain at all.My dating scan is due in 6 days.Since I was found to have MMC during the dating scan of my last pregnancy,I am really worried.Have any of you experienced this?Shall I call my midwife in the morning?

Hey ,
It’s very common to get discharge in pregnancy I got this at start and at end . As long as there’s no fresh blood it’s fine also no pain is a good sign to but if you still feel worried you should call midwife to put your mind at ease . ❤️ Congratulations 💕

It's very common and is usually a slight bit of old blood from your cervix which has become very vascular due to pregnancy.

Hey, sorry you're experiencing this. I'm also 12 weeks and have had this on and off, it's so worrying! I've had 2 private scans and everything was fine. They said it was old blood clearing out and as long as it's not red or with cramps it's usually fine.
Got my 12 week scan tomorrow so hoping everything is still ok.
Hope everything goes ok with you. So sorry about your previous loss x

Yes I did at exactly 12 weeks two hours after my scan. X

I had the exact same a few days before my scan and had worked myself up into a right state that something had gone wrong. Of course, Google told me it was nothing to worry about unless it was red blood or accompanied with pain, but I still stressed endlessly. All was absolutely fine at my scan and the sonographer was completely unpaused by the discharge which made me realise I’d worked myself up for no reason! Please try not to worry but if you are ring your midwife for EPU for some reassurance, it’s an awful feeling I know!

@Sls668,thank you for sharing your experience. I experienced scanty spotting and brown discharge in my 6th week and they offered me.Luckily, everything went well that time. This is a scary feeling as you can imagine.I called midwife and she asked me to keep my mind busy with something. Keep me in your thoughts and stay safe❤🙏

I've had red blood followed by brown 3 times now, also had a few tummy pains , I'm 8weeks+4 , had a scan 2 weeks ago with the early pregnancy team and everything was absolutely fine, blood again yesterday so I had another scan today and it's growing nicely, they've just said it's something that can happen and to keep an eye on it.

Bundlemuffin · 11/06/2020 16:44

I had spotting just before my 12 week scan... that baby is now a strapping 15 year old!

Sorry you've experienced this, it's such a horrible feeling even though there's a really good chance everything is fine.

I've had brown discharge very frequently since finding out and fresh bleeding on 3 occasions. Had a private scan at 8 weeks then managed to get seen at EPU @ 9.5 to try and get a cause but they weren't sure. This week had quite a heavy bleed totally out the blue (11.5 weeks) after nearly 2 weeks of no brown discharge and managed to get into the EPU that day and again everything was absolutely fine (the baby was so active with a strong heartbeat), she thought she might see a small haematoma but she wasn't sure. Its been super stressful and I have thought the worst every time but everything has been good. Wishing you the best of luck.

@penguin423 ,thank you for sharing your experience. I am glad that your little angel is doing alright. My prayers and love are with you. I kept thinking for going a private scan although my midwife suggested me to wait for my dating scan which is 5 days away. After hearing All the experiences that all the beautiful ladies have had,I think I will just keep praying and wait patiently for my dating scan.
I hope your bleeding will stop soon and you will remain healthy throughout your pregnancy. ❤😍

@Wants2bhappymumma thank you Smilehad some more over the last few days so I had another scans and very thankful again that everything is going well Halo

Wants2bhappymumma · 12/06/2020 15:47

@Xiomara22,I am so happy to hear the news. One of my close friend said she had it for a while and now she is a mother of a 4 months old angel.
I was asked to wait for my dating scan unless I am having any other symptoms.
I am anxieously waiting for the scan.
Stay safe and keep me in your thoughts.
Love and hugs
