Ok so I had my consultant today and booked for elc for the 13july but she also said if my growth scan next week shows baby being small on the chart I will have to go to adau and not home does anyone know what will happen here? Maybe delivered earlier? Or monitored iam a high risk pregnancy anyway x

Depends why you are high risk - your risk factors might mean the consultant thinks there’s a high chance of baby’s growth dropping off over the next few weeks. Doesn’t usually mean immediate delivery, just more monitoring - so if your scan did show growth had dropped a bit you would most likely get a CTG to monitor baby’s heart rate for half an hr or so, and a blood pressure check, plus a plan for more frequent scans and reviews. Hope that helps.

A few things make me high risk previous pre term birth at 34 weeks, age, previous retained placenta, I just want to be prepared as I wasn’t sure if they would keep me in if she’s not growing properly x

Makes sense - tho doesn’t sound extremely high risk of a growth problem so don’t worry too much. I always think it’s a good idea to have a hospital bag packed past about 32 weeks anyway, and esp if prev PTB! But usually growth concerns are managed as an outpatient. X
