I'm 34+3 and have not had any colostrum come in, my midwife said I should be harvesting it at 35-36 weeks but I'm seeing no sign of it.

@Molocosh not true. Your body starts making colostrum early during pregnancy, and you can begin hand expressing after 37 weeks if you wish to. It is your mature milk that comes in between 2-5 days after birth.

I tried but never managed to get any before baby was born. Don't see any harm in trying just in case it's needed.

If you do hand express a little bit and get it in a syringe before baby arrives, what do you do with the syringe? Freeze it I assume? I am almost 37w and can get a few drops out if I hand express (have only done this out of curiosity so far after noticing that my nipples seem to have changed!)

@Christmastree43 yep label it with your name and the date and put it in the freezer ready to get out and take to the hospital!
