Hey everyone. Found out I was pregnant 2 weeks ago. I am currently 6 weeks & 3 days. Over the weekend I noticed some bleeding & clots when I wiped after visiting the bathroom, which lasted for a day & a half, with some mild cramping. I phoned NHS 24 & a nurse told me that it's nothing to worry about, if it was to get heavier with pain I was to call back.

After noticing the above all my symptoms have gone, like tender breasts, neausa, heartburn. Still feeling like cramps/stretching and pulling in lower abdomen, extremely tired.

Just looking to see if anyone has had similar problems and still went on to have a healthy baby.

Worried incase I have miscarried.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Hi, sorry you're going through a worrying time.

I had bleeding from about 5-6 weeks too. I've since had two scans, first to rule out ectopic and second two days ago to see if a cause for the bleeding could be found. It was inconclusive, but baby appeared fighting fit and doc had chalked it up as "one of those things" (not very encouraging).

My symptoms definitely come and go. The last few days I had barely any breast pain, today they are sore and tingly.

Early days yet as still only 9+4, but I hope I can reassure you that what you're experiencing doesn't necessarily mean you're miscarrying. I would ring your GP and explain what you're experiencing. They take pain seriously as it can indicate an ectopic, and reduced symptoms will also cause them to prick their ears up. Fingers crossed they can refer you to epu for a scan.

Sorry you’ve gone through this it must be really worrying Flowers. Bleeding can be common in the early days and is not always a sign that you have miscarried. Unfortunately without a scan or blood tests it’s hard to say what has happened, as a pregnancy test would likely to be positive still even if you are no longer pregnant. My advice would be to see if you can get to your local EPU (some you can self refer to and others require referral from GP) and they will be the best people to advise you. Wishing you all the best and fingers crossed for good news x

I don't think you got very good advice from nhs24. I would give your midwife or epu a phone and try and get in for an early scan to check on things. As you are over 6 wks there should be something visible on an internal scan.

Thank you for replying. Thaimoon & Skyla01. I have called the midwife today but due to Covid-19 I can't get to speak to anyone. I will update when I can. Thank you again. Much appreciated.
