I need help !

Hiya everyone, I'm a 17 year old girl going on 18 in three months. I'm really worried that I'm pregnant, I've taken two tests and both have come back with faint lines so I would just like some advice if anyone can help me ! Do you think I'm pregnant? Me and my long term boyfriend of a year think I am, I'm on the contraceptive implant but I have had brown bleeding like implantation bleeding, I spent three days straight dizzy and nauseous throwing up and my tests have come back with faint lines. My breaths are also itchy and sore. Any help much appreciated, it won't let me attach images for some reason but I'll try and private message anyone who's willing to help me, thank you in advance xxx

Hiya, 2 faint tests are 2 positive tests, so yes, it sounds like you are. I would leave it a few more days and test again with your first wee of the morning if you feel like you would like to see a stronger line. Which brand of test did you use?

I used a freedom one and a boots one and both have faint lines x

It’s likely just quite early and that’s why you’re getting faint lines. Do you know how many weeks you could be?

There's not much to do here except wait a little longer and re-test. My first pregnancy test was a very, very faint line, I dismissed it as I started bleeding a couple of days later but I only bled lightly for 3 days and my "period" stopped. But my boobs did not stop hurting or growing. There were lots of little signs which shouldn't have been there after my period, so I waited another couple of weeks and re-tested. And sure as anything, there it was. Big bright pink line. I took another one. Solid line. I went out and bought lots of testing strips because I couldn't believe what I was seeing and I did about 5 of those. More solid lines. Now I'm 17 weeks pregnant and could not be happier, even if I am crying all the time.

When was your implant put in? Unless it was within the last month or over 3 years it's unlikely you'd be pregnant. The implant is very effective and can also cause irregular bleeding patterns x

It's very rare to get a false positive OP so I'd say it sounds like you are pregnant. If you're getting a faint line on a freedom strip then try a FRER (first response early result) test. They use pink dye which are more reliable than blue dye tests and they are also the most sensitive at picking up low levels of the pregnancy hormone HCG. That'll give you a more conclusive answer x
