Basically... Any tips for coping with all three?

I'm 4+4 weeks pregnant with my 2nd and I'm absolutely floored with tiredness, and my 2 year old seems to be bursting with even more energy than usual.

Luckily DP is home just now but I feel sorry for DC as she's used to me running around playing, and I don't know how ill manage when DP does go back to work.

(we are isolating as much as we can as I've had a few scares in this pregnancy already, and DC is at higher risk)

if you need to put the tv on a little more don't feel guilty, pregnancy is exhausting just rest .Or if you have a garden could you maybe sit in a lounger one day and let them run around burn off some energy

You will make it up later ,you can also do activity's like painting drawing together.

TV is your friend! DS1 is obsessed with playing puzzle games on my phone as well. It's not ideal, but it's the most precious 45 mins of my day at the moment.

Other tricks that work for us: Treasure Hunt Challenge! Get yourself in a lovely, comfortable, pref reclined position and challenge DC to find random objects. Wooden spoon, Daddy's shoe, a blue toy... whatever.

Never forget that singing and reading can be done lying down, and these are highly beneficial activities.

Rotate toys. Hide one or two for a few days/ a week and then bring them out. With any luck they'll seem like new again.

Worst parenting trick, but it does work: suggest you change their nappy/ go to bed/ something they're not keen on. My son usually disappears for a good 15 mins. I know, I know, don't judge me...

Screen time is your friend here. I was the same while pregnant with dd2. Also I used to stick her wee play table next to the couch so we could do drawing, playhdoh etc while I was lying down 😂

I have actually found it much easier since dd2 was born than when I was pregnant!

Screen time, I like it.

DP is going back to work on Friday so I've instructed him to get all the baby gates up before then so atleast I can contain DC in whatever room I'm in.
