37+1.. is it happening?

Hi lovelies,

I’m 37+1 weeks pregnant today with my first and need some advice with what’s going on

Since yesterday I’ve been having on off period pains and back ache, and last night I had the strongest BH I actually thought it might be happening, but they died off after an hour

Today I’ve been having the same pains aswell as feeling sick and I’ve been to the toilet twice (definitely not normal for me )

I know it’s wishful thinking but both myself and my partner were early by 2 & 4 weeks so I’m thinking this little one might have the same idea..

Does this sound like something’s happening? Please tell me if I’m being daft, I just have no idea what’s going on

I'm 39+0 today and there's nothing happening here thankfully. I'm booked in for a section next week so hoping he holds on until then. This is my first too x

How are you getting on @Blondeyoghurt? You sound like I did the day before DD turned up. I think some people stay like this for some time before moving into proper labour though.

I’m still having the same pains just nothing more yet.. I’m hoping maybe it’s her gearing up to make an entrance

Hi, it sounds like when I had my two. I had pains on and off through the night, the following afternoon I completely cleared my bowels as in bad stomach all watery (sorry tmi!!!) a few hours from there then it was clear contractions had fully started. It sounds like a start of things and is your bodies way of clearing itself to get ready

I hope so!! It makes sense that my body is getting ready I’m just worrying myself as I’ve read a few other threads where women have gone on for weeks like this

@Blondeyoghurt I opted for an ELCS as I wasn't comfortable with the risks and uncertainty of a VB. I'm also a control freak and the unpredictability of labour makes me anxious.

Hopefully things calm down for you and your wee one hangs on in there a little bit longer.

Im also 37+1 and have been experiencing the same as you since yesterday. Dull period pains and tightenings and had the shits 3 times today💁🏽‍♀️ TMI sorry!!

my back is so achey too!! Feeling very off today!

@FirstTM2020 how are you getting on?

I’ve woke up this morning almost double over with cramps! I wouldn’t mind it’s just the whole not knowing for me

@Blondeyoghurt morning doll, wow maybe this is it for you! Hope they can become regular for you then you'll know.

I feel less cramps this morning more like a dull ache which probs is normal. Have been to the toilet again this morning though! I just feel off thats the only way i can describe it! Xx
