Hi all, I went to triage last night for reduced movements, everything was fine and great thankfully.
Midwife booked me in for 'LV and doppler scan' on Thursday. She said it's just protocol after being in for reduced movments and that she wasn't concerned in any way.

Have you had one of these scans? Could you talk me through the process as I like to ge prepared for things. She gave me the waist bands that they used to monitor baby, does that mean they'll monitor me again?
Thanks in advance Smile

It’s a standard ultrasound - they’ll check baby’s growth, the fluid around baby, and measure the blood flow in the umbilical cord. If your movements have gone back to normal then the scan is likely to be reassuring, it’s to check whether the reduced movements may have happened because baby is small or fluid is reduced for example. They’re unlikely to do extra CTG monitoring unless it shows baby is small or you’re still worried about movements - but it depends a little on overall circumstance. Hope that helps.

@TenThousandSpoons0 Thanks so much for the run down that was really helpful! Baby is back to his normal active self today so I assume he was just having a lazy day yesterday. But yes that will be reassuring to have everything checked Smile
