Aching in right side

Good morning,

I've recently got my BFP and I am currently 3 weeks pregnant.

Today my lower right abdomen (where I imagine my ovary to be) feels not painful, but more of a pressure and a bit fluttery... I'm having the odd twinge on the left side (that feel like bubbles popping), but the right just feels full and odd. There is no pain if I touch or apply pressure to the spot. Is this normal, i.e just the egg implanting?

Sorry if TMI but I had a bowel movement today after not having one the last couple of days, so thinking this may be something that's contributed?

I'm really worried about ectopic pregnancies, I know at this point I shouldn't worry - but as it's my first I just really don't know what to expect and I haven't got anyone to ask really!

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,

B x

Hi.

I am pregnant for the first time and I am 7 weeks. I had exactly the same feeling as you.

I didn't realise I was pregnant but I felt a random twinge in my abdomen on the right side and pop sensation that was quite painful and then it followed a few days of the sensations you have described.

I have asked a couple of my friends who have had babies and they seem to think it's normal and was probably implantation.

How are you feeling otherwise?

Oh and congratulations Grin

I actually had a phone call with a Dr about being referred for blood tests for something else and I remember saying to him I just feel really full on my right side and nothing I do seems to ease it off. Almost like I'm really desperate for the toilet but it's aching further up. I obviously now know that I'm pregnant but do wonder if he thought what is this woman going on about!

@BeeR2009 only 3 weeks pregnant? Is that from your LMP? That's really early to get a BFP so you could be further on than you think.

That aside though, I wouldn't worry too much at this stage. I had all manner of weird pains, cramps and unusual bowel movements in the first 6 or 7 weeks and I'm now in the third trimester.

@pinklillie that's reassuring! Yeah it is an odd feeling - I can only describe it as pressure, but yeah thanks for coming back and making me feel now alone! 😊

@sel2223 I got my first BFP yesterday with a first response, did another today and the line has darkened. I'm only going off 3 weeks (and 3 days) from my Ovia app - my period is due in 2 days and my last period started on 16th May, my cycles are at 27 days on average! Is this normal? It's my first baby and I was lucky to catch my first month trying, so I am so new to all of this!

Xx

@BeeR2009 that sounds right from your working out and short cycles. It just seemed really early to what you normally see on here lol. Congratulations.

I’m 6 weeks now and had this at 4 weeks. Due to my endo and a blocked tube my G.P. referred me for an early scan and it ended up being a corpus luteum cyst which is totally normal.

I still get twinges and I’ve had constant brown discharge but the nurse who is looking after me says it’s normal.

I had a few right sided pains very early on and was also terrified of ectopic. I had a private scan at 6+6 and I had a right corpus luteum cyst, which are far more common than I thought considering I'd never heard of one! It's likely nothing sinister but keep an eye on it x
