I had a growth scan today (29w) and there's excessive fluid around the baby. I was wondering if anyone else has any experience of this? I wasn't given any information other than that they will check fluid levels again at 32w.

I had this but it wasn't diagnosed until my c-section. No problems with baby, no idea why it wasn't picked up on scans

Glad there were no problems, but how odd they didn't pick it up on scans

I had it, so did my mum and nan. I had to have scans every 4 weeks for 28 weeks. Baby was fine, in our case they think we just have a lot of water. They kept testing me for GD, but I didn’t have it.
Only side effect we all love the water and swim a lot😉
I’m 8 weeks with my second and I already look6 months pregnant, so I’m going to do it again with this one.

@Em39ma thanks that's good to know! It's weird though my bump is actually smaller this time than with my first, and fluid levels were normal throughout with DS. I had a glucose test yesterday so hopefully I'll have the results back this week
