Nagging pain in my ribs on the right hand side. Started Saturday and still there now. Sometimes it eased but then comes back. Anyone know what it is and how I can ease it. I'm 36weeks+2 with my third. Don't remember having pain like this with my others.

I had this at 34 weeks +.

It was my daughters head and the way she was positioned... bloomin sore & uncomfortable it was .

Please talk to your MW Thanks

Mine was agonising for a few weeks, first one side then the other. It is almost certainly ligaments easing and things stretching out, but as always if you are worried call your midwife x

I don't want to alarm you, op but does it sound like this

Abdominal pain is a common symptom of preeclampsia. It is classically felt in the upper-right abdomen, below the ribs – roughly where the liver is located, but can often also be felt below the breastbone, a region known as the epigastrium, and may at times also radiate towards the right hand side of the back.

If so, please call your antenatal team.

Yep I had this and worried about what it might be. The midwife had a feel and said it was fine but I was due a weekly scan anyway so ... it was my DD's bottom sticking up into my ribs. Speak to your MW for sure but babies do this.

I’ve had the same and called to just check. Was just baby’s legs but it’s a good idea to rule out pre eclampsia just in case. It’s horribly uncomfortable and still comes and goes as he moves around.
