Period pain at 33 weeks

I'm 33 weeks pregnant and during the last week or so I am waking up in the morning (not every morning) with period pains that are not overly painful but uncomfortable enough for me to need to get out of bed and move around.

It's a constant pain so doesn't seem like contractions. I took a paracetomal this morning but it hasn't done anything.

I do get Braxton Hicks and they're not painful at all, I don't get any Braxton Hicks when I have the period type pain.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is it just my body preparing? Is it another type of Braxton Hicks?

Baby is moving fine, and I'm not leaking any fluid etc. It only seems to happen in the morning too. I will mention it to midwife this week at next appointment. Any advice or experiences appreciated

I'm 32 weeks and Iv been having the same the last few days. It's only a dull period ache.
I think maybe it's more stretching pains and tends to depend on position of my baby as she's still moving around in all sorts of positions. Mines generally the morning to.

My baby keeps flipping between being head down and transverse. This morning I felt his hiccups very low down by my pubic bone so maybe it is just when they're in a different position.

I've had the period pain for nearly 4 hours now this morning but it isn't getting any worse so hopefully it's just one of those things.

Thank you for your reply! x

You could always ring your midwife if concerned. Just for extra reassurance.
Mines normally breech and she goes transverse to and it literally hurts so much.
She's super active I'm sure she's trying to figure out the head down position 🙈

I'm 33 weeks too and have had the same. I went to PAU this morning with reduced movement as well. Everything is fine and the midwife said period type pain is normal. If you're worried call PAU, they honestly don't mind x

Thanks all for replies, no not worried just wanted to see if others have the same thing, I assumed it was normal and wouldn't be concerned unless waters broke or was bleeding.

It's stopped now so hopefully that's it for today Grin
Baby is definitely head down today, can feel the hiccups right down low and kicks are much further up. Plus I can breathe a bit better!
