False negative?

Hi,
We’ve been trying for baby no.2 recently. I have PCOS but within the last few years, my periods have been fairly regular, i’ve only been maximum 3 days late i’d say within the last 3 years or so. I am now 2 weeks late. I took a test 2 days after i was due, then one week, then 10 days, then yesterday, all negative. I obviously but it down to my period just being late because of PCOS. The day before yesterday, i had spotting. It was a very light pink bleed that was only there went i wiped, that lasted a day and i had nothing since. I believe it’s unlikely that i’m pregnant but could they be false negatives? Or has anyone else had a similar experience and it was something else? Abit worried now and don’t really want to be going to the doctors during lockdown. Thanks x

It can't be a false negative but could be that you ovulated much later than you think and recent bleed was implantation so you could be 7-10DPO and maybe get a positive text in a few days?

Do you track ovulation symptoms?

@ApplePie86 thanks for your reply. In all honesty, no i don’t. My ovulation has always been all over the place because of my pcos so i just gave up trying to track it. I’ve been told that it’ll be hard for me to get pregnant because of it, it took me 18 months of trying to have my son and we haven’t been trying very long for baby no.2 so i doubt i am, especially with the negatives but it’s just so strange, especially the spotting.

I also have PCOS and the only way I know I'm ovulating is the pain in my left side (I only seem to ovulate on that side for some reason). But the only reason I'm ovulating at all is because I take inositol tablets as my periods were irregular (up to 180 day cycles).

If your cycles are fairly regular there's no need for them but if you're not pregnant maybe worth looking at as it definitely helps with ovulation.

Hopefully AF doesn't arrive and you get a BFP though 🤞

@ApplePie86 that’s interesting, i might try tracking again but it’s so difficult isn’t it?! Yeah when i first got diagnosed 10 years ago i was really irregular but since having my son i’ve been on point within a few days or so, so it is unusual for me nowadays, hence why questioning pregnancy. Thanks again 😊

Very difficult :-(

I am using AVA to temp as well but my temps don't indicate ovulation at all so the only thing I can go on is the pain. Thank goodness for that as I'll be damned if I had to DTD every other day for a 180 day cycle 😂

It seems unlikely that all four tests are wrong. But fingers crossed for you OP!

@ApplePie86 our bodies aren’t always kind are they Confused

@Epigram that’s what i was thinking, i’d settled for just having a really late period until the spotting happened. Now i’m so confused and slightly worried x
