Haven't done a test yet but have started a mega light period a week early that has lasted only about 1 day, have been feeling a little nauseus and felt really tired walking earlier on.

When would you do a pregnancy test and do you think i could be pregnant?

at least 2 weeks after unprotected sex

pinkteddy · 22/09/2007 18:35

no harm in doing a pregnancy test. Most family planning clinics will do one for free if you don't want to buy one! How far past your actual due date (for AF) are you?

sleepfinder · 22/09/2007 19:30

Why not just do the test. It does sound like you MIGHT be preg.

lulumama · 22/09/2007 19:31

beacuse if it is less than 2 weeks after unprotected sex, you might get a false negative..

might as well wait until AF due as more likely to get an accurate result

LadyTophamHatt · 22/09/2007 19:32

if you've had unprotected sex, then yes you could be PG.

do a test.

sleepfinder · 22/09/2007 19:39

I hate to say it but it could be an STD...sorry I only thought of that after posting that you should test (which you should)

lulumama · 22/09/2007 19:48

what could be an STD?

thegardener · 22/09/2007 20:04

What's a STD and what is AF please??

belgo · 22/09/2007 20:09

STD: sexually transmitted disease. I don't know why sleepfinder suggests it could be this, but then I'm not a doctor.

AF: your period. A strange acronym - see the acromyn list.

belgo · 22/09/2007 20:10

if you are pregnant , the mega light period lasting a day could be implanation bleeding.

Good luck with the pregnancy test.

lissielou · 22/09/2007 20:11

af is your period and an std is a sexually transmitted diesese. we cant tell you if you are pg. sometimes your periods can play tricks on you and come early/late/light/heavy without you actually being pregnant. the only way to know for sure is to take a test after your period is due.

thegardener · 22/09/2007 20:14

Well thats a great comfort - a sexually transmitted disease, would you like to tell me a bit more about why that could be sleepfinder.....because it has concerned me greatly as i have only one sexual partner so i'm wondering what my dh has been upto....or why you have put such a strange comment on response to my message...

lissielou · 22/09/2007 20:18

i dont see why it could be an std tbh, but you could be pg and you should find out asap.

belgo · 22/09/2007 20:18

I also find sleepfinder's response unusual and I would like to know the medical basis for the suggestion.

sleepfinder · 22/09/2007 20:18

oh dear - I am sorry. A friend recently had some cervical problems due to her long term partner and the symptoms included fatigue and a slightly bloody discharge. I'm so sorry I didn't mean to upset you or offend you. I know nothing of your circs...!

lulumama · 22/09/2007 20:18

you don;t have an STD

not sure why it was suggested.....

nausea and feeling grim could be because:

you are pregnant

you are poorly

AF - auntie flow.. ie your period

belgo · 22/09/2007 20:19

kel - maybe it's best to start another thread untitled 'advice needed after implanon removal'

kel0785 · 22/09/2007 20:20

thanx for that i guess u can guess i am new to this lol

kel0785 · 22/09/2007 20:23

thegardener · 22/09/2007 20:25

Thanks for your messages, will do a test in a week after my AF is due(what a strange name for a period)

belgo · 22/09/2007 20:25

I suggest you see your GP if you still have the pain on monday.

belgo · 22/09/2007 20:26

lissielou · 22/09/2007 20:27
