Did any one collect their colostrum? If so when did you start and how difficult did you find it?

Following this as I have been trying for 3 days and gained about 8 drops 😔

@Emberfoot hey do you have the amazon syringes? There what my midwife recommended and she said even just 1ml is good enough to just help the baby along when struggling in between feeds xxx

When did you introduce bottles? And also what did you find was the best routine? To breast feed in the day? At night? Just needing some guidance really x

That last comment I posted was meant to be a different feed x

I got given some syringes by my midwife, but it's just not happening at the moment, I'm gonna keep trying up till induction.

I really wanted to as I was having a c-section and wanted some as back up but found it impossible. It was fine once the baby arrived though. In hindsight, I perhaps wasn’t being firm enough but I found it really sore. Don’t beat yourself up if you can’t!

I did. Started at 38 weeks. I found doing it in the bath helped. Being very relaxed and warm. Put a warm cloth on your breast for 5 Min before hand. Massage the breast before too. Use a c shape action to hand express. Was slow at first but collected about 12 of the little syringes from amazing film. Froze then and took them to hospital with me. DH gave them to baby whilst I was in theatre after delivery and a little after. Have a look at hands expressing videos on YouTube to help.
