I’m 4w and anxious about the fact I already suffer from a weak lower back, I’ve been given strengthening exercises in the past but fully admit I’m useless at keeping up with them, but I’m keen to do some to prepare my body for pregnancy - does anyone have any guides on the best types of exercises for pregnancy?
Thank you Smile

Squats are great, kneeling superman's, fire hydrants, donkey kicks, wall squats. Avoid ab exercises / laying on your back / twisting. Focus on legs, hips, and back as you say. If you start now you have a better chance to get into a groove and keep going when you get bigger. I'm 36 weeks now and still doing it every second day, my OH can't even do one squat and I do 2 sets of 15 💪

Walking is amazing for your Back! I know that sounds too obvious and simple, but it’s beautifully gentle at toning everything

The above poster’s exercises are great too

some really good, well fitted flat shoes such as trainers are a must for walking

I walked Throughout pregnancy then about a mile when in early labour, then had a super fast labour in the birth pool - I swear by it! :)
