No gos in pregnancy, is this overly cautious?

Hello! Can anyone tell me if I am being OTT by not doing any of these things? I am worried I'm being overly cautious but don't want to risk anything. Am in first trimester, v early, hardly any symptoms so super paranoid.

No baths - I know that hot baths are not good but think warm baths are okay. Is this right? Thinking of just sticking my legs in and not my tummy. Lol.

One decaf coffee - I think this stems from over googling while ttc. I know you can have a regular coffee but switched to decaf anyway, then read something that suggested too much decaf coffee can make you hostile somehow to embedding eggs... is this rubbish? Or is it fine now I am pg?

Most controversial one - no alcohol free beer. I love this stuff and was gulping it while ttc but have read so much conflicting advice since most has 0.05% in it. Heineken website says, in its FAQ about pregnancy, this is essentially alcohol free as it's 0.05%. Doesn't really answer the question imho. Ok or skip?

Please tell me I'm being silly (except for maybe the beer) as I miss these things! Which I thought were all very reasonable and restrained til recently.

Feel free to add your own OTT pregnancy no goes.Grin

@heroineinahalfshell thank you - might get a bath thermometer as some suggested as for me no bath is worse than no cuppa!

@LASandOtto I have tried those before and they were ok- maybe I'll revisit!

@Cazzy198 thank you, that's reassuring! Keep thinking I'm going slightly mad. Then my husband reminds me I missed my period and had bfps. Quite major signs but they keep slipping my mind!

@grey12 can't beat a hot chocolate! Thanks for the suggestions x

@Superscientist will definitely try the cordials. Mock mojito sounds really nice!

@oliveroses when you have both the 12 week and 20 week scans and later notice a bump and some kicks it gets more reassuring. I did start to worry about kicks though but I bought a kicks count wristband (www.kickscount.org.uk/kicks-count-wristbands) which doubled as an anxiety band I could ping or fiddle with. I then got to a stage where I was confident in counting kicks and didnt need it.

Just a bit of additional advice you can take or leave if you find yourself feeling similar later on.

Thank you for this thread OP because I was also wondering about the baths / “af” beer and drinks!

Can I also throw sushi into the mix? So many conflicting articles. Can I have salmon maki for example??!

I ate sushi from decent restaurants

Avoided prepackaged sushi

I've enjoyed hot (not boiling but hotter than luke warm) baths once a week since day 1.

I have a cup of strong coffee every morning then switch to peppermint tea or decaf. Sometimes, when I'm out walking, I'll grab a 'proper' coffee. It's fine. You can have up to 200mg a day.

I don't drink it very often but I have had the odd non alcohol beer or cider in the garden when it's been sunny.

I'm now 30+3
