Dating Scan

Hi all,

I'm having my first scan on Monday and just wondering if the rules have been relaxed for your partner to also attend the scan.

I'd really want him there for support (and he is desperate to see the baby live, so to speak).

Thanks in advance.

Sarah

Call your hospital to check but I would say no. They haven't changed any rules in my area.

No changes yet in my area so would be a no if you were here. All hospitals seem to have their own guidelines and requirements though so might be worth giving the antenatal department at your hospital a call, I am sure they would be happy to advise/confirm.

I went for a scan yesterday and strictly no partners, I don’t think anywhere will let partners in yet

Pea1984 · 05/06/2020 13:39

I wouldn’t have thought so. I have mine on Monday too and the hospital rang today to check I was well and symptom free and to remind me I have to be on my own. Best to double check with them just in case.

I had a scan today and partners were not allowed.

Hi everyone,

Thank you for all of your replies.

It's totally understandable, but still a little gutting.

My hospital called the day before to check if I had any Covid-19 symptoms. They then asked me to come alone. I don’t think it will change anytime soon unfortunately xx

I had a scan yesterday and it was definitely no partners. It's rubbish isn't it OP, I'd have loved OH to have been in there with me and to have seen the baby.
