Hi Ladies,

Need your thoughts, took a FRER on Wednesday and got a BFP and was overjoyed but since then my lines aren't getting darker. Can you let me know your experience please?

Being in the pregnancy forum, I'm hoping that loads of you will share your experiences😘😘

@MummyT13

Firstly, congratulations on your BFP!
I recently received mine about 2 weeks ago and I have been excited and nervous ever since.

With these test have you been using your 1st morning urine? That is usually the best time to test.
Also, drinking too much fluids can dilute your urine and cause a lighter line than normal.

But you are still early. I suggest to wait a few days and test first thing in the morning.

MummyT13 · 05/06/2020 13:19

@Applesnow22 Thanks. I wish I could get excited because I have been TTC for 17 months.

I have been using my FMU and that's the only urine I get a positive digital with. Doing a digital in the afternoon and I get a BFN.

My normal cycles are 30 days but I ovulated on day 20/21 instead of day 15 so this cycle is ridiculously long and unheard of for me. X

I got my BFP 2 weeks ago and I believe everyone’s levels rise at different rates and speeds. I didn’t get a really dark one until 16dpo, I’ll attach my line progression pic. I took them every 2 days as there’s not a lot happening 24 hours apart.

Everyone's levels are different and If I was being completely honest I would expect to see more line darkening but I've also read/seen lots of success stories before x

ApplePie86 · 05/06/2020 14:46

I don't think it's anything to worry about and I know it would be difficult but I'd try and not test tomorrow then test on Sunday and hopefully you'll see it get darker.

Unfortunately I wasn't lucky and my lines stayed the same for a few days, got a little lighter then stayed light for the next 2 weeks. It was an early miscarriage (or chemical - not really sure of the difference actually).

It's good news you know you can get pregnant so if this one doesn't work out well it doesn't affect your chances for another try.

Hopefully this one sticks and you see a darker line in a couple days time x

@MummyT13 congratulations! Maybe leave a bit more of a gap between tests so the hcg has more time to increase.. I've attached my frers for you to compare x

These were mine, just for comparison. Although, everyone's HCG levels are different and it's the doubling that counts (which should happen every 48hrs). As PP have said, try only testing every second day for a more accurate picture of how things are progressing.

Fingers crossed for you 🤞🏼

@MummyT13 Can I ask if your lines got darker? Going through the same.

MummyT13 · 17/09/2020 21:50

@Moandy they didn't. Ended in MC at 6 weeks x
