I am just about 7 weeks postpartum, i started on the mini pill on may 24, I had sex the day i started the pill with a condom and then every time i’ve dtd since i’ve used pull out and pill as my contraceptive then i had heavy bleeding (possible period??) a few days after starting the pill. it was very heavy compared to my periods before pregnancy. it seemed normal to me i had smaller clots and it lasted about 5 days but no cramping. today (june 3) i took a pregnancy test that seemed to have shown the faintest positive. it was a blue dye test (walmart brand) and i know i know they aren’t reliable. After about an hour i looked at the test again and it was darker so possibly evaporation line? please answer!!!

I would say it's possible. Isn't the advice to use condoms for the first month of taking the pill? Whatever happens you will get through it. Try a pink dye in a couple of days!

thanks for the response! my doctor told me the mini pill starts working almost immediately (within 48hours of taking) so i’m going with that. i also forgot to add i took a test yesterday and it was definitely negative. today i used the walmart equate brand and looking more into it ive been reading terrible reviews about false positives and terrible evap lines so i’m really hoping that is all! i do not want another baby right now!

That's great news. 7 weeks pp is not ideal lol!!

definitely not 🤦‍♀️ and you’d think if i was having heavy period-like bleeding that ended just 2 days ago i’d be in the clear!
