Unlike my first pregnancy where I bloomed and felt fab, this time is the complete opposite. I feel tired and like a whale (making an effort to get exercise in.) Lots of things seem an effort and I feel awful about this. My only other child has just started school, so have all the time in the world for myself, but yet I still feel worn down.
I still suffer from the odd bout of sickness at 22 wks, but don't feel that productive really.
I am treating myself to a pregnancy massage soon as feel it might help chill me out a bit, but does anyone else feel crappy and bad about it?
I tried telling my husband I feel urrr, but I don't get far because I listen to myself and think just grow up!!

awww Martha please don't beat yourself up - all pregnancies are different, just because your first one was easy doesn't mean it'll follow second time round. This happened to a friend of mine too. I think it's always harder when you have a child already, even though they've gone to school! Take some time for yourself and chill, don't feel bad about it hun

I absolutely loathed both my pregnancies.

Don't feel bad Martha- you're allowed to feel sorry for yourself if you're not 100%

I would book yourself in for some fab treatments at the spa. (It doesn't have to break the bank) You're worth it! I find swimming helps me feel less whale-like and gives me a much needed boost of energy. Also your blooming-ness might be just around the corner, I 'peaked' at around 25w (Though now at nearly 30w its starting to wear off again - boo!)

I am a first timer and let me tell you-I was a right miserable bugger during my first and second trimester .If one more person told me " You'll be blooming" or " you'll be wanting sex all the time" I was going to scream !!! I loved my third trimester prob cos I was on mat leave and actually looked pregnant rather than fat !! Treat yourself ( I have a new shoe addiction !!) and don't beat yourself up about it, cos you are seriously not alone !!

Please done feel bad, im in the same boat. My first pg was fantastic, had tiy bump, wasnt tired, no sickness, but this time, im only 10 weeks, feel sick CONSTANTLY, but hav yet to been sick, im absolutely worn out 24/7. Its ridiculous really. This pregnancy has hit me really hard. My dp keeps going on about his ear ache, having to listen to me moan all the time, and i do feel awfl for whining all the time, but it means he looks after me a little better!
So dont feel bad, this is one of the few times in your life when it OK to moan all the time, because we have every good reason to.
