hello
i did antenatal yoga from 4 months to 20 mins before i went into labour.
i will def do it again.
its important to find a good one, anyone can do a yoga course and teach it so you want to find a yoga centre.
yoga stretches improves the elasticity of your skin so reduces stretch marks, strenthens your back, improves your flexibility for getting into good birth positions, helps you relax and connect to your baby whilst inside, works on your pelvic floor muscles which reduces the need for stitches and speeds up its recovery blah blah blah.... i could gone on forever.
i went into labour the day i was due, i was doing yoga to help my baby make its way down the canal... 20 mins later my first contraction came, i continued with a few more exercises, i did not have to get stitches, had no stretchmarks. had no back pain in pregnancy etc...
i really felt yoga helped towards all this, i went to one 90 min class a week but practised at home, the last month of pregnancy i tried to do it every day.
i went to the yoga centre in ladbroke grove, london. the people there live their life by yoga.
