After pains second birth

I'm due my second baby later this year. With my first, the after pains were horrendous. I had a vaginal delivery, no issues until I haemorrhaged about an hour later, not sure if that had anything to do with the pain- I'll need to make a note to ask the midwife. The midwife told me they're worse the second time round. Just looking for experiences... I've asked that I can have gas and air for after the birth!

Iv had 4 and its different with them all 2nd and 3rd were definitely worse but ended up with womb infection with both so not too sure what was after pains and what was infection but only had number 4 5weeks ago and they weren't that bad at all I thought I'd need an epidural for them by number 4 lol but nope they were fine just paracetamol and was good to go
