Positive test 9 days before period?

Just looking for a bit of advice, has anyone ever got a positive test 9 days before period? Just took a test with FMU & there’s a faint line. Last month my period was early & I use Ovia to track my ovulation, period etc & it says my period is 9 days away. I used a cheap test but they’ve worked for me in the past. (Got a 2 year old & had a miscarriage last August) but the cheap tests always worked for me. But I will buy a better brand in next few days. Just wondering if anyone has had a positive this early? Been TTC since my 2 year old was born! Will try include a photo of the test if it will let me!

How many dpo are you? How long are your cycles normally? Did the line come up straight away and definitely not an evap line? (Sorry, so many questions)

@sel2223 my fertile window was from 26th - 31st May according to Ovia. & it came up after a few seconds & doesn’t look like an evap line

Hmmm i'm not sure then as that really is super early.

That fertile window probably means ovulation occurred on 30th/31st which only puts you at 3 or 4 dpo.

I've never heard of anyone getting a BFP that early tbh. Most of the time it's 11-14 dpo, some get it earlier but I think the earliest I've seen was 7 or 8 dpo.

Could it be a faulty test? The only way to know for sure is to wait a week or so and test again.

When was your last period? Do you track ovulation? Could you have ovulated early? That's most likely if the test is positive.

Have you just come off the pill? I had a very strong positive line 4 days before I was due but at my dating scan the baby measured 5 days ahead of the LMP dating. I put this down to only having been a couple of months off the pill so the apps didn’t have enough data to properly calculate fertile period etc.

This happened to me 😊 Positive test at what I thought was 8DPO, a week before AF was predicted. Turns out looking at my baby's size at 12 weeks that I probably ovulated a few days earlier than usual (and than indicated by temping and OPKs) that month so was actually about 11-12DPO. I'm now 22 weeks pregnant! Fingers crossed for you that the line gets darker!

Thanks everyone. My period last month was a few days early & lasted 2 days, then stopped then returned a day later for an extra day. Thought it could be implantation but it wasn’t spotting, it was like a proper period. So unsure what happened last month. So maybe I ovulated early this morning? Anyway, I’m going to buy a couple first response tests & test again in a few days. The line is still there on the test (not sure how to upload photos on here) but it’s super super faint. Defo doesn’t look like an evap line but suppose could be a bad test? Anyway fingers crossed! Will test again in a few days :)

That would make sense if you ovulated earlier this month. The apps are good but not slways 100%.
Let us know how you get on with a pink dye test in a few days.

As for the photos, you have to be a member for 48 hours before it let's you upload.

Hi, I’m currently sat so confused 🤷🏼‍♀️
Basically - I came on my period 21st of December 2020. I have a 26 day cycle so I’m due on 17th of jan 2021 which is another 9 days away.
I took a pregnancy test today because of how I’m feeling ‘ kinda have that feeling ‘ if anyone understands that 🤦🏼‍♀️
It came back positive
I took another another 2 and I’m second guessing if I could see a faint line or if there negative ? I’ve now binned them so I haven’t got a picture

Is it even possible to get a positive so early on ? I will be retesting closer to my period date but is it possible I could be pregnant ??
Also the two negatives are different brand test

I have the same issue. My period came a few days early last month and was very heavy. I didn't think much of it as I am not really actively trying to get pregnant, but it's possible that I could be (though unlikely).

I was going to get the Covid vaccine so I took a test on the 18th to check I wasn't pregnant. There was a very, very faint line, almost imperceptible. So then I took a few tests over the next few days, all different brands. Three were negative and one came up with a definite half-line.

So then I waited a week and took another one today, the same as the original brand, and it was completely clear with no line at all. Not sure what to make of it. Need to figure it out though, as I rearranged the vaccine for three weeks' time.
