I'm confused (what's new? )

Some books and websites say 12 weeks, others say 13 and even 14 weeks?

Who's right?

I remember the same confusion, there I was at 12 weeks feeling happy as larry, and then my book (the pregnancy bible) informed me that the second trimester actually started from 14 weeks!

I guess maybe it depends how you gauge it - 40 weeks divided by 3 is 13.33 or something like that, so maybe that's why they say 13 or 14. But, then the baby has done most of its forming by 12 weeks, and scans are done then of course, so maybe that's why they say 12. Maybe someone more qualified will be able to give us a more professional opinion!
